:Put test light on white purple strip wire (got light power even when z dies for fuel pressure drop)The pump receives power from the fuel pump relay, and should always be hot. Your verifying that you still have power even when the fuel pressure drops off only verifies the the fuel pump relay and the corresponding relay signal from the ECU are good. The pump speed is switched by ground, which is fed by the fuel pump controller (the fuel pump voltage is the voltage relative to fuel pump controller ground output, not chassis ground). You need to connect your test light (or better yet a volt meter) to measure the voltage between the fuel pump controller output and fuel pump power. Beyond that, I'd verify the inputs into the ECU that are required for fuel pump operation. The key-on pump cycle will happen without any other input. Fuel pump operation beyond the initial key-on operation will require the inputs shown here: [ http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=efec&dir=&config=&refresh=&direction=forward&scale=0&cycle=off&slide=26&design=default&total=190 ]
